Cinco De Mayo: Guacamole Recipe

It’s Taco Tuesday (can I get a Whoot, Whoot)! I also want to point out that this is an extra special Tuesday because it’s Cinco De Mayo! I must admit I am a passionate participant of Taco Tuesday. Mexican is one of my favorite foods and tacos are my love language. Let’s be real, if I could eat tacos everyday, I would!

I don’t know about you, but I am a chip and dip girl. They are my weakness… Lol If there is chips and any sort of dip, consider me THERE. Potato chips with dairy dip, to tortilla chips and Queso. Shoot, even a healthier option of celery with Hummus or Buffalo Chicken dip I am in (insert raise your hand emoji). I could go on with more, but I will spare you as I think I may have a problem… Well, I hope my problems can become a part of your solution and we can celebrate the Holiday together. How, you might ask? With some Margs, tacos, and QUACAMOLE!

With Today’s post I am bringing you my delicious guacamole dip that takes about 10 minutes (depending on your knife skills) to make. My husband Jake and I love to make the dip with flavorful ingredients to add taste and color. One of my favorite things about this recipe is that you can make it YOUR OWN. Add more of one ingredient or take out an item you may not like!  We have added ingredients such as bacon before and pomegranates. In the end, it will still be delicious. From someone who is not an expert in the kitchen, this dip is difficult to mess up! With this simple recipe you will be loving life! Heck, it might even become a new staple item to bring to the party! Ingredients needed and directions are below.

Hope you enjoy and cheers to making a delicious DIP!

Ingredients Needed

2 Avocados (add more if you want to make a bigger serving)

1/2 of a Medium Red Onion

5 stems of Fresh Cilantro

1 Glove of Garlic (Minced or pressed will work)

1 diced Roma Tomato

Juice of Half of a Lime

Add Salt and Pepper to Taste (we used Garlic Salt)

Gather all ingredients from the list above and start to cut the amount you will need. I love to prep this before hand so that everything is ready and you can throw it into the bowl all at once! This also makes it easy to taste throughout and add more of a certain ingredient if needed.

The cut up ingredients should look a little something like above when done! It already is looking amazing right?! Carve out the halved avocados first into the bowl and then add all other ingredients after. I don’t like to stir it together until all ingredients are in the bowl! I prefer the guacamole chunkier and if you stir too much it can start to look like green mush! No one wants that as it doesn’t look appetizing or taste as good. Continue to add ingredients until the dip taste fits you!

After the guacamole ingredients are mixed together, it should look a little something like this. Color from the tomatoes and onions make it look so beautiful and man let me tell ya this is delicious! We love to eat our Quac dip with chips, carrots, and celery. You can use the quac as a taco topping or add it on the side for another delicious Mexican dish like Quesadillas.
